Rachael Ireson

Born and raised in Tasmania, Australia, movement has always been part of Rachael’s life.

Rachael grew up in a theatrical family and began classical ballet as soon as she could walk. She studied all styles of dance growing up, and played numerous sports at an elite level.

Rachael found pilates at age fifteen through her dance training, which continued throughout her entire dance career and all injury rehabilitation. She studied pilates with Andrew Baxter in Melbourne, from age eighteen, whom is still a mentor today. This ignited her love of pilates even more, and the method became something she couldn’t live without – not just the physical benefits, but the exploration of the mind-body connection, and the depth in which the method can influence many other aspects of life.

Following a rich international dance career across many genres and spanning many countries, she landed in Copenhagen in 2014, and is grateful to pass on the joy and value of movement as a full-time instructor at Copenhagen Pilates Studio, teaching pilates and GYROTONIC®.

Rachael completed the BASI® CTTC in 2017, and was honoured the position of BASI® Pilates Faculty in 2025.
